There is a way to do it - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2277882

I'm just not the one with the answer...

If you put your scrambling QB in the QB1 or QB2 slot on the depth chart (not sure which one it is), then more rushing plays will be called with him on the field.

No, this doesn't just magically happen.

When using the Wildcat preset, QB1 is what's used for rushing QBs.

Looks like the one team just used the formations depth chart to set the Goalline Formation to the custom slot the rushing QB was in. Since Goalline is all rushing plays, it's a smart move.

Yep, that's the point of the preset.

Sweet the explanation I heard made it sound like only my rusher was used..

new to casual, have rQB on the roster.

I'm not all that bright so please help me clarify:

rQB should be in QB1 slot so he's the one most likely to be in for QB rush plays and if I also name him QB2 for GL formation, he's always the QB when GL is called.

Default passer for passing plays, therefore, is QB (not QB1 or QB2) and I'm set? I don't need to use Wildcat as a preset if I use this method?

In casual, the custom slots are only really used for presets. QB1, the slot you'd put your rushing QB in for the Wildcat preset, is ONLY used for the Wildcat preset. Things won't magically happen because a dot is in the QB1 slot.

In the scenario where you had a QB in a custom slot with intentions for giving him sole rights to the GL formation you'd have to change your Goal Line player choices in your 'Formations' tab (it's a tab off the depth chart page)

Darn... so if I do want to run the rQB reliably vs the passing guy, I need to select Wildcat and lose the options of which formations etc I should use with %s, so basically my O choice once selecting Wildcat is only that? I seem to lose all ability to choose formations when I use a "preset". But if I have an rQB, this is likely my best choice especially low level?

I think I'm asking, if I set Wildcat does this mean I can set a Preset up, make it Active... and now my Preset is my offense but Wildcat now determines my depth only?

EDIT: nevermind, I see that if I activate a Preset, my Basic Offense tab just disappears so that tells me Wildcat option just went out the window. Then got clued in to the text, " Activating a preset will override your default basic tactics settings. "
