Time for Catch to get off his high horse and actually encourage people to play with non boosting dots and get rid of this 'free players' nonsense, and instead give 600 FP to ensure that players can at least build 2 Glamour positions.

Part of the reason for the small FA Market is that many feel that creating and maintaining non boosting dots is pointless in leagues that are almost full of boosters due to free players. They are basically persecuted, despite the fact that an agent with 8 non boosting dots will spend more money on the game than an agent with just his 2 free players. Encourage non boosters, abolish free players and ensure that the FA market is a lot bigger to encourage ownership as at the moment, there is just not enough players for teams. Many don't create dots purely because they think that they won't be able to boost them their whole careers and that as a result they will never end up on the best teams up the ladder and won't win anything as a result.

You do realise that non boosters were the majority of players before, when this game was at its height and not in decline instead. So it's No coincidence to me that the decline of non boosting players has also coincided with the decline of the userbase on GLB. Also don't delete my thread because I'm talking about non boosters or whatever, I'm a paying customer with both non boosting + boosting dots who deserves to be heard out on this issue.

Maybe make It so boosted players have to get a certain amount of salary to play at normal 100% make the cap mean something so that every team has strengths and weaknesses make the dots mean something not just a planning wins all like how it is make it so non boosted dots are somewhat needed

Non-boosting leagues is what they need. But that is NGTH, therefore so is this most likely.

No, Non Boosting Leagues is not what we need.

We need leagues where both boosters and non boosters can mix and play. Not just leagues that are dominated by boosters. If anything, I support GLB's stance on not supporting non boosting leagues, they shouldn't be separate to regular leagues.

there's already a check box for "i don't want to" for boosting and custom EQ. not sure what else is needed

The free player is kind of redundant because they are the only 2 players I actually boost.

But OP is right, if GLB had any real sense, they would find a way to promote non boosters, because right now its a struggle to fill teams... Because people don't want to boost and spend the obscene amount of money it takes to get a players to 79.

There will always be teams full of boosted players. Taking away free players is not the answer.

one thing you are overlooking is GLB is a business so if people aren't boosting then GLB isn't making money. I could see GLB doing 1 non boost league per level where only non boosting dots could play. but your suggestion wouldn't help GLB at all in my opinion.

One thing GLB overlooked (despite the fact myself and others tried to warn them) was that killing non-boosters would actually lose money since they killed the FA market for teams in the minors. Most teams just had a few non-boosters on the roster to fill in for a season or two until they could find a booster. Now that element is gone. Could have worked really well with the extended plateau as teams could plug and patch their roster until they reached uncapped where there is a much larger amount of dots.

Myself and others suggested much better ways to eliminate the 2 or 3 non-boost teams that actually existed rather than completely killing off all non-booster dots from competitive play. Was a dark day for GLB when the ABLs were added and non-boosters were killed.

Though one team seems to have been loaded with more boosters than the other, I suppose one could say...

non boosters can do well in pee wee and lower level leagues

since people get a free boosting dot, they can also see what it is like to play with a fully boosted dot and decide if they want to spend some cash

no reason to cater to non-boosters - in the level based leagues they would have an advantage over boosting dots and that would actually discourage people from boosting - not a sound business practice

I'm keeping my 2 free dots, thank you very much.

This is NGTH. We have been more than generous with two free players that users can fully boost throughout their entire careers and we have no plans on doing anything to cater to non-boosters.
