Add Throw Now to the Check Down List

As it is right now if I want my QB to throw to the WR1, for instance, and to no one else, and if the QB decides the coverage is too tight on the WR1 he seems to go through all give check downs, waiting really long into the play, before finally throwing the ball to WR1.

This is an issue when the WR1 is in single coverage, tight or otherwise, but at the end of the play will run into zone coverage and effectively be double covered.

If I think the WR will be singled up and want to force the throw to him in the play calling, let me do it by having a Check Down option that says Throw Now. When a QB reaches this he stops checking down and throws to the last check down.

Such that if I put in

WR1 WR1 Throw Now the QB will spend however many ticks two check downs are looking for the WR1 to become open and then regardless of the open scoring, he will throw to the WR1 rather than waiting through three more check downs.

You can do this right now.

1) Put "WR1" in all five slots of your pass progression.

2) Pray that the defense doesn't quadruple-cover WR1.

3) ?????

4) PROFIT.

Not sure why you'd want to have your QB ignore all other potentially-open receivers, but okay.

Stat-whoring? That's my guess.

Seems like more harm than good would come from this addition. It'd almost be a death trap 99% of the time.

Actually Ive thought of the same idea. It'd be really nice to be able to tell your QB when to throw the ball. If it's a death trap, then most OC's wont learn how to use if effectivly, but there will be a few who do.
Or, it will really help the passing game

I have always wished for a distance setting. Say that you know theat WR2 will get open after 10 yards, how do you set the current settings so that the QB waits? Every thing that I have tried results in the pass too early or to the wrong receiver.
