No... it's not a glamor position (archetype) to build, but depending on how the team runs it's offense it can be extremely useful. I built on several seasons back because the team owner asked me to. He knew he planed on doing lots of outside runs and QB runs and wanted something that could block LB's, CB's and safeties. He did that job very well and, once he hit plateau, he was even quite useful as a possession receiver. You just gotta have a plan for your dot and a team that will use it according to that plan. That said, not many teams incorporate "blocking wr's" into their schemes. So you really have to build your dot with that in mind.
