*In advance, I apologize if this has been suggested before, I looked and didn't see it anywhere. L&D if it's been suggested*

We have the the ability to vote in the suggestions tab off the home page, but what about in the original thread? The suggestions tab seems to get seldom-if-ever type updates, and the suggestions added there are already well on their way to being added. In the style of the TT-GD-FFA up/down votes, the Suggestion version would be a simple and quick way to give a simple +1/-1 if you like or dislike a suggestion, specifically only on the OP. The rules for this forum frown upon simply saying +1/-1 in a thread, and it would make things easier for everyone to see a quick tally of the plus/minus upon viewing a suggestion.

has been suggested multiple times and everytime it essentially ends up being brought up that it would be nothing more than a popularity contest or give trolls a new way to derail a suggestion.


Personally I like the suggestion and have suggested it twice myself.

Well it could be combined with the comments to give a better idea of the level of the suggestion.

Wait.. Why isnt that the argument for the up/down votes in the clusterfuck of trolls that is GD-TT-FFA? It can be used as a popularity contest and trolls can derail posts/users

because in FFA- TT and GD those forums aren't supposed to be super serious posting. those forums are supposed to be a somewhat more laid back type forum. or atleast that was the way I took the explanations I got when I suggested this a while back.

You can't derail something that has no purpose.
