Where can I find the information pertaining to tagging for my defensive AI?

Are you referring to using the presets and tagging for the presets?

If not, and you are creating your own AI's you will need to tag accordingly to how you set-up your AI's.
So if you have an input that says Goaline Rushing QB, and inside that input you have QB selected as Rusher.
Then you need to scout the teams you are getting ready to play and if they have a rushing QB you need to tag them as Rusher and it will complete the tagging so that it draws that input when a Rushing QB is in and the O formation is goaline.
Not sure if I made a bit of sense.

I took it as though he has never tagged before and is looking for a guide that explains in detail how it works. GLB information explains things in a manner as though you are familiar with things as is and can be confusing to completely new people.

My quick short guide for him:
Your defensive AI allows you to choose tagged players such as rushing QB's, power HB's, and ect. You basically create a play for the type of player you wish to focus on. If you want to stop rushing QB's than you create some plays that are designed to stop rushing QB's and you then go to your AI and create an input and within that input you select "rushing QB" in the options. You then create an output and select the play you created for rushing QB's. Now...when a rushing QB enters the game the play you created will be used.
You "tag" a player by going to a team's profile page and click on "scout team" and you then select the team that will be using the plays you create. You can then "tag" a player whatever you want like power or rusher o whatever. You must have "scout abilities" in order to do this.

And always keep in mind that AI's read from top to bottom.
So when you make an input for a tagged player, don't put it at the bottom of your AI, and always keep in mind what is above or below it in the AI.

Thanks all. Obviously I'm new to tagging dots..lol. I have found/read the wiki link.
What I'm getting out of this is I need, for the rushing QB as a example, to create more than 1 play to cover/output for every situation/input that that rushing QB may actually run in the game. Hence power HB etc. Correct?
Also, will any input/offensive play not covered/output fall back to the basic defensive settings that I've set.
I'm asking about this tagging because we played a team that ran 1 back like 35x's. Have to be able to counter that. I hope I'm fairly clear, and I'll be following up on this for some time to come..lol. Thanks again.

Yes....any play not covered by a "tag" will be covered by your basic AI. Creating plays for rushing QB's can be difficult as they can run outside, run inside, hand it off inside, pitch it outside, and even pass. It will take you awhile. A good thing to do is to look at other teams who have good defense and see what kind of plays they use or where they line people up and so on.

Does one have to create plays or can you just plug in a certain defensive alignment? Or by doing that I wouldn't even need to tag dots in the first place?
Check out this play. We got burned twice with the same exact play calls on O and D. Also we had different SS's and they had different builds. Got me stymied.
Would this have been a situation to tag this back?

You didn't link a play. I would create plays if you going to bother with tagging.

its rookie. its a bunch of randomness for the first few seasons. but id use custom plays as a DC

in rookie you want to create plays to stop outside runs, spread your safeties out as wide as possible and up near line of scrimmage
