When it hits 11 or 1 or 3 why do we have to wait for like 5 more minutes but some games play earlier. Can we get this fixed please. Thanks
Forum > Suggestions > Can we get the games to play when there suppose to.
Games sim in two groups for each league (generally). It takes roughly 30 minutes for a sim to complete (sometimes more, sometimes less). Games generally begin simming about an hour before their scheduled time (no earlier than 75 minutes before). If you're in the early sim, you'll usually be able to see your game about 30 minutes before it is scheduled to complete. If you're in the late sim, you'll usually be able to see your game at around the scheduled completion time. Server load and odd sim circumstances can slow a sim. If its more than an hour or so past the scheduled sim time, contact support.

Going on 17 mins now. This season games have been alot slower then in previous seasons
I've noticed a couple sims running 5 minutes or so behind which is a bit unusual. Who knows what the cause is (maybe Bort has moved a couple servers to the "new game"). General rule is don't contact support until its at least an hour late, though.

Guessing that you are talking about your Nevada team today? Another thing to consider and I don't know if there has been an official posting or not, but in my experiences, blowout games seem to take much longer to sim and looks like you won 289-0.

Honestly, I've never known quite why this happens.
Because it likely takes longer than a millisecond to sim a game.

Erm.. when is the last time a football game went exactly the 3 hours it was supposed to? Sims are the same deal- penalties, scoring, dead balls, etc all add up in a sim of this complexity

With todays technology this blows my mind. It shouldnt take that long to sim a game.

I don't think the issue is simming one game. The reason it takes as long as it does is due to the sheer quantity of games. I remember Bort saying a season's worth of replays is in the terabytes, too. GLB isn't just rolling a few dice and spitting out numbers, there's a lot of complex math behind the sim.
With the current league setup you are still looking at 88 leagues. That means 2816 teams, half of which play each day. You're looking at over 700 games being played every day.

Bort needs to fix his builds
