player's salaries need to mean a whole lot more than just a m(boring)orale modifier.

I don't care how creative you want to get Mr. Bort. But time to get a bit more creative with this feature. Wide open canvas here. Do something to really energize this aspect of the players life please.

I had suggested that they make a separate game for the agents based on the concept of money. Something to peak the interest of the agents again. But all I mostly got in return was people saying it would create too many big headed agents and would be some holes in which agents would start buying teams for the sole use of giving one player all the money...etc etc..

Salary caps would prevent this.

Best thread I saw about this suggested that Dot's be allowed to purchase "bling" that would show on their player page. Like a returner that owns a small mansion, a fully tricked out Hummer, and a pet jaguar. Images aren't really necessary... but would be a nice touch. Still you could accrue, over your many seasons, quite a list of "stuff" to enhance your dot's reputation and could even swap out lesser "bling" for better "bling" (at a reduced value to the original piece, of course).

Was all part of my suggestion. The bling boosts your rep and it is a whole other game for the users.

Change salary morale bonuses so they are based off of salary ranking on the team instead of raw salary. As the rankings fall into different tiers, the morale bonus is different

highest tier (minimum 4x min salary, +20 morale) - maximum of 3 players qualify for bonus
second highest tier (minimum 2x min salary, +15 morale) - maximum of 10 players (minus # of players qualified for higher tier)
middle tier (minimum 1.5x min salary, +10 morale) - maximum of 25 players (minus # of players qualified for higher tiers)
second lowest tier (minimum 1.1x min salary, +5 morale) - maximum of 45 players (" ")
lowest tier (minimum min salary, +0 morale) - maximum of 55 players (" ")

so while teams still developing their stadium/finances would likely shoot for the cost effective 1.1x salaries across the board as they level up, a pro/WL team or any team with developed stadium/finances would get:
3 players with top tier salary
7 with second highest tier
15 with mid tier
20 with second lowest tier
and 10 with lowest tier
morale bonus #s are just examples. make them whatever would fit the sim and not require rebalancing. if you're worried about the players who would bitch about having +0 morale, either grow a spine or give them 5 morale as a base and combine the bottom two tiers, it doesn't really matter.

oh... since my idea doesn't address the problem in the OP of the game being bland as hell for users who only build players, yes please throw in some kind of bling or something players can blow their cash on

I'd say create a mini-game that allows players to earn some money every day, in addition to their salaries. Call it "Practice" or something, idk. Make it position dependent and have leaderboards on the site for the minigames. Allow money to buy players stuff like cars/houses/businesses/etc. The more they buy, the higher their fame increases. So essentially it gives agents a reason to hang out and play around on the site and doesn't really change all that much. Could also be a slight morale boost based on what you own (say max of +5)...thoughts?
