it makes no sense that my 3 DTs get placed on the weak side of the line (and the DEs fill in on the strong side) when it is obvious the 2-point conversion is an inside rush to the strong side

Also, aren't the Goalline plays chosen at random for 2-pt conversion plays for both the offense and defense? So it's not always gonna be an inside rush to the strong side.

Two point conversion plays are always the same for offense and defense. Offense will ALWAYS call the strong side slam and D will always be whatever it is.

Maybe get more creative with the GL-specific depth charts then? Which team are you talking about, zero? I'll bet there's a way to "trick" the sim into putting the right dots in the right spots.

Try this, zero... you mentioned you have 3 DTs, and I'm assuming you also have 4 DEs?

Go into your GL-specific depth chart. Put your weakest DT in the GL-NT depth chart, nobody else. In the GL-DT depth chart, put your two strongest DEs up top, followed by your two strongest DTs. Yes, DEs first... I THINK that will force your two actual DTs over to the strong side. And finally, put your 2 weakest DEs in the GL-LDE and GL-RDE depth chart, one DE alone in each spot.

Then, to test it, create a custom D play using the Goalline formation that will draw from your GL-only depth chart, and arrange a private scrim with someone who will just run a GL strong-side run all game long on offense. Watch and see how the sim places the DTs and DEs along the line.

If it works, great! If not, rearrange the GL-DT depth chart and try again.

edit: wouldn't it be nice if the goalline depth chart actually had all of the D-line positions? instead of just the normal 4 positions of NT, DT, LDE, RDE (which leaves a lot of guessing)

this is what I was talking about. DEs are placed at DT slots right where everyone knows the play is going. can we just have this changed for 2 pt conversions since it's automatic?
