So when you view all the top plays of your dot allow it so that it will show all the passes allowed that player gave up. It shows pancakes, tackles, sacks, etc so allow it to show passes you gave up. Will allow us to pin point the retardidism when you view the pass given up and you were no where near the ball in the first place. The times that it actually does work it would be nice to be able to see 5 passes given without having to sort through the 60 pass plays you were in.

kthxbye

everyone knows the reception allowed stat tracker is faulty... DEs get dinged for these on screens, for example, just for being the closest dot. If can't be fixed then just get rid of the RecAllw stat.

Actually, nope that wasn't the point of the thread and I just decided to throw in a little sarcasm. I really would like to see what actual passes I have given up (whether they are garbage or not). As of right now the only real way to tell is if you give up a pass and made the tackle. Sifting through a crap load of pass plays to find 2 or 3 receptions allowed when you didn't make the tackle is kind of lame.

Then this is more likely than the implementing of your suggestion. I agree with foggie that Rec Allowed really stinks as it is now... cripes, on any given play 7 different dots can get dinged for a Rec Allowed on the same pass... when only ONE dot was REALLY in coverage. It dings anyone in zone (whether or not they could make a play on the ball)... it ding's a dot covvering a separate WR on a different route just because it's somewhere nearby... it dings the D-lineman it goes over... it ding's the safeties as they rush the QB..... It might even ding the waterboydot who was standing too near the sidelines. Until it can properly sorted out I refuse to even consider it a viable stat.

I made a suggest thread pretty much saying fix the stat or get rid of it, but just like everything else it gets ignored. Just as this one will most likely get ignored as well. I shouldn't let it bother me, but it does. This is a stat based game and if the stats are going to be absolute inaccurate garbage, than they should go the hell away.

Well, I don't get bugged about it much because I understand WHY it happens. And I know it's a stat we WANT to have... it's just not so easy to get right. We (GLB) had a similar issue for many seasons with blocking pathing of certain dots. It seemed like an easy fix, but it wasn't and it took quite some time to get it as good as it is now. I suspect they KNOW that Rec allowed isn't working like they want... and rather than scrap the idea, they're constantly tweaking on it. (I really believe that too.) So I suspect, eventually, it'll get a lot better someday. I just hope someday comes sooner rather than later. :bummed out: :sigh: (Still no new smileys either. )
