I'm trying to make a successful running QB. Are there teams out there that run the read option or pistol or something or is that not possible in this game?

The Pistol formation is not in the game. Neither is the read-option.

typical RQB only works against CPUs and bad D/Cs.
Unless you can create a unique build, I would advise you to go a different route.
But if you are looking for some lolMVPs, rqb is the way to go.

lol, agreed-
but still think dual threat is the way to go
interestingly enough, my team's throwing QB sucks at throwing ATP compared to my Tif da Cat
imo agility helps throwing far more than anyone realize

This. Likewise consider that 99.9% of DCs have different plays to deal with rushing QBs, so your dot will also potentially help your RBs/FBs rushing.

Don't listen to this guy. A good rQB can be useful to a team even if he doesn't dominate. Just being in and not running can be useful to an offense due to the opposition tagging him and opening up running holes for the RBs

this. and if you have a dual threat, can help the passing game also.

If you're a terribad and uncreative Offensive Coordinator, then yeah, a typical rQB will only work against CPUs and bad DCs.
The key is to NOT be a terribad and uncreative Offensive Coordinator.
Then you can absolutely make rushing QBs work against even a good DC.

Yeah, but it will be other people's dots getting the stats. lol

Don't tell dpride I'm linking his dot as an example, but WL rushing QB.

I disagree to both of these statements.
A true rushing QB that has not invested in Throwing at all can still be a very dangerous threat.
On 3rd and short, the QB sneak is pretty much a guaranteed 1.5-2 yard gain unless you have the worst O-line (or you are just terrible at building rQBs). In the alternative, if they sell out on stopping the rQB inside on 3rd and short, you can always try throwing the ball on a short out route (the high strength and agility of an rQB allows pretty decent short passes even with less than capped throwing), screen pass, or you can rollout to either side.
The rQB has no great default SAs, so there is some investment of BTs required to get Spin/Juke/Head Fake/OFF/Hurdle/Power Thru/First Step (or whatever combination of SAs you plan), but with enough investment in agility/carrying/jumping/strength/vision/speed (again, depending on which SAs you plan on using), the rQB can be a big ticket threat even if the D is selling out to stop it. If all you do is rollout, you are going to be easy to plan for, and the rQB may still break enough tackles that you will get a decent average, but it is the opportunities that arise in specific situations that make the rQB really dangerous.
