I would like to see the "long" distance meter on 3rd downs to set a little differently.

As it is now, it says it will not run if set at a certain distance. I would like it to be set that it will run if under that and pass over that. I don't want my 3rd down and shorts to be dictated by my offensive style or game plan for every other down.

So if I'm a pass first team, I don't want 3rd and 2 to be a spread long pass, etc. 3rd and short if set to pass over 3 yards, should run if under, IMO.

If you want to pass even if short then you can adjust the yardage input.

So, suggestion is just take what we have but include that inside the yardage inputted it will be a run.

Makes sense.

As it is now, this setting favors run heavy teams by giving them the ability to make sure they pass on 3rd & long, the same setting should help the pass heavy teams run on 3rd & short.

Problem is that MANY agents WANT to run EXACTLY their offense, regardless of the down/distance. Since there are so many things in casual that are set to make sure there is no gaming of the system, it's hard to start tweaking the way this one thing works without tweaking other annoying things....

There are those annoying defensive play calls that are completely out of the control of the tactics, that still get called, even when you KNOW that it will result in a big play for the offense...part of the game.

The defense does not have control over what to call based on 3rd and short against a pass heavy team, so this would shift a balance to the pass heavy team, imo.

Defenses in casual have a very difficult time controlling FB/TE passing game.

I'm of the opinion that if you start tweaking casual at this point, then fix all the minor annoyances. Give casual a little more control, or give us a league structure in the middle of the current casual and regular....

Well you could say the same thing for defenses playing a rush heavy team not being set up properly when they pass on 3rd & long. I just see the current setting as favoring 1 style which doesn't seem right.
