Now or should I wait until we roll over to next season?

Between now and Saturday if you plan to boost this season.

Between day 40 and 48. Any other time and your Dot will not reach it's full potential.

This is a huge problem that GLB has to fix. You should be able to create a DOT at any time and not have limited in its potential.

Actually you could create in preseason and still reach full potential with the 6 plateau boost and the retroactive TP's. Would just play under leveled until reaching pro level/plateau.

You don't have to boost creation season to hit 79, although I would not suggest going that route

You would miss the initial 8 days of training which is the most critical in building a player. Any player not created between day 40 and 48 are at a disadvantage their whole dot career.

This is a huge fundamental flaw in the GLB business model that I am surprised they have not addressed.

No you wouldn't miss the 8 days of training. You get the TP retroactively until day 0

Someone should do a "remember when" thread in main

GLB Remember When: You had only day 41 to optimally create dot's with no worries

1 day did suck, now theoretically we have 16 or so day window, but only 8 days if you want to boost creation season and not play from behind until pro.

16 days is much better than 1 or 2 days. If new players join outside that window they have a free dot to play with , and can retire on day 41 and build a new if they so wish.

If you ask me GLB did address the issue, and handled it pretty fairly without re-writing the entire game and build process .

I didn't know that. I thought you only got them until day 48. So the best time to build players would be between day 40 and day 0.

Still, this limitation of optimal dates to build dots is a fundamental flaw in the GLB business model that if not changed, will always users away from GLB.

1) Day 40-48 is optimal is you want to be on an equal level for most of his career by boosting on day 48. You don't get those retroactive until the end of his career. You do get the training points retroactive immediately.

2) Having a grace period of optimal build time is necessary when the game is built around players that age over time. If a "new person" signs up after that optimal time it is really better that way as it allows him time to create a dot and learn the ins and outs of the game and training and so on and then retire his player at the end of the season and start fresh the following season with his better understanding of the game.

I see what you are saying. Does it really matter if you DOT is behind until it hits plateau? Does anyone really watch or care how their DOT performs at lower levels? The DOT really does not start to round out until the late 60's early 70's when you start investing in SA's.

Yes many care about young dot's. Even rookie dots believe it or not.

I used to but am way past that now. I have little cares till lvl 25
