I've played this game for over three years and over the past year I've lost interest. This game used to make game changing updates at the end of every season. Now everyone one has almost identical builds, building has turned into some mathematical formula. It's been fun GLB thanks for the memories. Anyone else feel the same?

Personally, i still enjoy the game. Been playing since 2008 and havent taken a break yet. I have been lucky though with a solid group helping me.

Except not. As 'mathy' as some people will claim building is, it's really not all that hard/complex. Certainly you can make it 'mathy' and build for optimal or near optimal player value, but 99% of the population doesn't do that.

We follow relatively similar build principles, like utilizing prolonged 4-way multi-training, but it's really not all that complicated. Never am I breaking out an excel spreadsheet. Never am I breaking out a calculator.

The only real 'work' I put in is with a single run through of the Virtual Player Builder to confirm that I can do the build I am envisioning.

So what you are saying is the only way the game is really challenging is if you decide to love math? I think that is the point of the thread.Originally posted by Phantom Of The Opera

Are you suggesting he burn his own house down? I would suggest that this is illegal, and you should probably find a friend to help to see if you can actually find a way to get away with it.

You have a 2nd free player available if you have been playing for 5 yrs. Go out a start creating some kinda crazy built player and experiment a few seasons with him. One season go offense and next defense. Alternate. If you have 2 free players even better 1 O and 1 D each season. Learn more about how to train you player the right and wrong. Tinker all you want.

I think one thing that is important is find a good group of guys and stick with them. playing on random teams kinda takes away from the enjoyment.

there was a good suggestion thread to continue to expanding both the defensive and offensive playbooks. I thought that was an excelent suggestion as I am of the school of thought that this game should evolve and expand in almost every aspect.

I agree that it is probably too easy to build players now... but good for new users

Besides, not like you have to do all that. I build my guys without plans and other stuff, yet they do perfectly fine and are in my opinion, well built.
