I don't know if this has been suggested before, but it seems to be more of a pain the the butt to have to wait until day 40 to retire your dots and rebuild more.

By remove the freeze, I am talking about maybe from day 35+ you can cut players so you can start retiring them and getting ready for the next season.

(This would also allow anyone who needs the flex to renew their team to renew their team after retiring those players)

I can see the freeze being lifted AFTER the last playoff game... but not during. I'd +1 that idea.

There's really no advantage for a PW team that cuts their dots early. The upside is it frees up flex for people to boost their dots in reg/cas leagues.

There is no advantage to building on day 40 as compared to day 41. All this would be is muddle the code and introduce confusion (I can imagine the riots when a team owner has a PW dot cut but he can't cut dots on his non-PW team).

Don't you get training points in that one extra day?

I don't think so? If you build on day 40 you get 8 TP. If you build on day 41 you get 10. Day 42 you get 12 and so on. And if I'm wrong (possible since I usually build on day 41) that loophole needs to be closed.

I would call that an advantage, except you get Day 40's training points on Day 41, if thats the day you build.

There is however the posibility that a owner has all his flex in players and doesn't have enough to renew his team. He can't cut/retire any of them because of the freeze so he would lose his team. Just one example of how it would benefit

Bad planning by the owner, tbh. The freeze exists because people exploited stuff in the past. Does it make sense for the roster freeze to remain in PW? From a game perspective, probably not. From a coding perspective, though, it does. Unless Bort has built some sort of rules engine to handle player movement (not likely) I just don't see this as worth taking the time to implement.

he can sell off CE

the suggestion that needs to be implemented is the retire while on a team option like this:

team is done with the playoffs and tournament

player hits the "request owner allow you to retire even though still under contract"

owner gets alert, clicks OK, player is retired

been suggested many times before
