because i'm far too lazy to look, what are GLB's overtime rules? first score wins, or opening drive field goal is allowed to be matched?

Sudden death. First team to score in any way, wins.
In the regular season, if the first overtime period ends and the score is still tied, the game ends in a tie.
In the playoffs, the game will go through as many overtime periods as are needed until one team scores to win.

cool, has there been any discussion on updating it? NGTH? seems like GLB game scores, even competitive ones, run up way higher than in real life. which is FINE, don't change THAT, but making the coinflip less of a factor can only be a good thing right?

Most OT games I see are more 14-14, 21-21, 7-7 at the end of regulation. That is less than one score per quarter a piece. I rarely see shoot-outs go into OT, not that it never happens.

I've seen multiple threads on it in Suggestions. Go bump one of those.

And that was the 1st and 8th seeds going at it? Talk about a competitive division. If I was an OC for either of those teams, I'd be so pissed at my DC.
