After you upload them, you need to clear your cache. Ctrl + F5 will work for sure in Firefox.

Note: this is for seeing them on your end instantly. If you don't, they'll turn up later. Everyone else will see them, though.

i am not seeing your avatar in this thread for example.

has the blank picture icon when something doesn't load ... and I see half of my cheese sandwich avatar (bottom half not loading)

Sounds like an issue on your end, and if you are seeing half of your cheese sandwich it's not like the images are being blocked. There's nothing on GLB's end to half load avatars, lol.

Don't know what to tell you besides fix ur build (pc build that is )

Yeah thats you or your ISP or lag in your internets area or something.

You on dial up?

Run anti virus scan, check your HD to see if its full and clear it up if you can. Defragment drive (this takes time), usual stuff to speed up PC I guess.

But thats kinda weird.

Uninstall and re-install your browser, maybe?

Definitely seems like something at your end, though.

usually laptop/not dial up (wifi); have to see if works better from desktop that I only use occasionally. Will see about cleaning stuff off laptop. Tried different browsers will similar results. Very frustrating (i.e. not a healthy game experience). Laptop is your standard dell 4mb, etc. nothing fancy but not ancient.

Are you using an add-on or greasemonkey script for ad block? Sometimes they can start blocking random images. Try disablig all of your add-ons and scripts.

will try. did some things and still having same issue. starting to think it is a conspiracy and racism. But, I tend to jump quickly to that conclusion

Reloading the page works pretty well. Occasionally I have this issue as well and simply reloading the page fixes it. Sometimes though, an avatar just won't load/show.

reloaded IE and still same problem. arg. this is annoying.

for example, in this thread, my avatar ... only the top of the picture loads

inromowetrust: image does load at all

yello1: that image loads completely

novus: loads fully

Vic Koenning: doesn't load at all

cosine4: like the top quarter of the image loads

Theo Wizzago: about half of the image loads

What version of IE are you using?

Try updating just about everything. If you were using Firefox I'd say your profile is corrupt but that's not the case.

Since you're not using dialup, then it's most likely on of 2 things. #1 would be your laptop simply doesn't have the speed/memory to load the images. If you have multiple pages open... or other things running... try shutting them down and just run this alone. #2, it could be simply not enough bars. wifi, like your phone, needs a good reception to function optimaly. Otherwise it can be like dialup and just be buggy as hell.
