NOTICE: for Defense, not Offense, thank you.
I was watching a replay, and noticed that the current goal line formation is 4 linemen, and a Linebacker, with two other linebackers, then the safety's and the corners. When I use a goal line form, I want there to be about 7 down linemen with 2 CB to watch for passing, and 2 linebackers to perform multipurpose duties.
I do not know if anyone else agrees, but I think variable selections for your teams "Goal Line" formations would be appropriate, since there are multiple standard packages (the 4-3 vs the 3-4 for example) I understand that this only affects a small portion of the game, but it can make all the difference if the D-Line can punch through to stop a run.
A suggestion I view as an excellent one.

There should be at least 3 variations of a goal line defense; #1, BIG - Used when you completely expect the run and wish to sell out against it. Body should generally consist of 3 DT's, 2 DE's, 4 LB's, and 2 CB's. #2, SAFE/(standard) - Standard Goal line formation of 3 DT's, 2 DE's, 3 LB's, 2 CB's, and one SS. Safe against run or pass without the sellout. And, #3, PASS - Used when you expect the other team to pass instead of run from the goal line formation. Package consists of 3 DT's, 2 DE's, 2 LB's, 2 CB's, and 2 Safeties. Here you sell out against the pass while still protecting a little against the run.
