How important is confidence in PW to these positions:

QB
Oline
LBs
CBs
P

And how much are we talking?

I actually saw some pretty good results with confidence in PW around playoff time. I'm talking 25ish, not capping it. Beat teams that I lost to in the regular season and I really didn't game plan for them. That was some time ago so I'm not sure if that still stands.

perhaps they changed their gameplans and assumed you would too?

I have been seeing a lot of this lately, which is what drove me to post the question.

Doubt it considering they ran the same plays and the defense looked the same as when we played them in the regular season. I'm not guaranteeing that confidence does anything for peewee teams in the playoffs. Just stating that one season I tested this very thing and it showed results over a three game span in the playoffs.

For certain positions, you need confidence (QB primarily). 25 by the playoffs is good but 20 would be fine.

I don't put any SP into confidence, nor do I train confidence for my O-Line.

I read somewhere that for PW, confidence won't help my OL not commit false starts,

So I plan to leave confidence at its base for WRs.

I also plan QB and most of the D to have 20 confidence by season.

and I didn't even begin to consider build changes and progressions... peewee/rookie builds adjust more than any other over the course of a season, so yeah there's way more to it than your confidence tidbit.

if i gave a shit, i'd build a peewee crew without confidence to prove otherwise, but meh...

confidence has varying levels of importance at the higher ends (typically 40-50 max), so I doubt it's a major issue at the lower ends.

I'd keep the logic simple. If you want your dots to do better than your opponents dots, have higher skills than they do. So, even at lower levels, a dot with 10 confidence is still inferior to a dot with 15 confidence and the performance should reflect that... even if it's not perceptible to those who watch for those things. Wins is what counts and if going with 15 confidence means wins... then go with confidence.

the question isn't if 15 confidence is better than 10... it's about the cost of bringing that confidence up albeit nothing comparably speaking compared to other aspects of a build that may allow the dawts morale to remain

We're talking about throw-away dots. One and dones.

And you don't seem to get at all a single thing I said...

why do only think efficiency applies to top tier dawts?

same rules would apply to peewee
