I know concessions and ticket pricing underwent some minor changes a few seasons ago. I've got my rookie team getting about $200,000 from each home game's concessions with prices set right in the middle. Attendance is 22,760, fan support 40/13/1. No blowout games yet. How are others doing?

Getting ~ $320K on the Rookie team I help run. We have 18,880 seats. My concessions are priced at expected (tbh, forgot to even look at prices on them until just now).

Concession pricing

concession pricing and ticket pricing should NEVER be below what using the auto-set gives you - I go 20% more than auto set for concessions and max for projected blowouts

not even, I was actually expecting a lot more and our fan support is not that high because we've dropped a couple games. Not being top of the league going into the playoffs hurts new teams a lot.

I will add this to it now

Season long promotions

Say $500K contracts for all (goes to $27,500,000 which is above the cap)

This gives +3.4 morale for each player (say 4 even)

everything above +4 would be a double hit for luxury tax

for $36M I get +15 for all road games (luxury transportation and lodging)
for $12.5M I get +10 for all home games and +5 fan support (1/2 time entertainment show)
for $8M more I can get +5 morale and +5 fan support low for nachos every home game

so for $54.5M I get +15 morale for all 16 regular season games and playoffs (nachos are free in the playoffs if at home) and fan support bonuses as well, +$7.5M for min salaries = $62M total

------------------------------
if you go $27M for salaries and get everyone +4 both home and away, you need to do the following for +15 across the board, home and away
away = +11 from +8 lodging and +3 transportation costs $26.4M
home = +11 from +5 for 8 nacho games ay $8M and the remaining +6 from cheerleaders costs $15.5M

total spent = $68.9M

doing even more from salaries will put you into luxury tax and cost you even more

the most cost effective way to do this is max home and road season long promotions and watch your pre-season games and see if any select players can use a contract boost

going over the salary cap is never the cost effective way to boost player morale (unless the team is folding after the current season or something)

I was wondering if there was like a "sweet spot" based on income level of fan support...I haven't really found much of one. It seems to be one of the more random aspects. I had good returns when I had it exactly halfway between min and max at higher fan supports but I haven't run a team's money less than 90/90/90 in a while.

There is more correlation between margin of victory and concessions than fan support - fan support pretty much only affects ticket pricing from what I have seen, but there could be - but I haven't noticed anything without running some statistical analysis, which I don't really plan to do

Is there a difference between an official blowout (70+) and a 200+ blowout when it comes to concessions? Or do you hit maximum concession as soon as you hit 70+?

I thought the reason margin of victory made for more concession sales is that the games took longer...more stoppages for turnovers, touchdowns, incomplete passes, and so forth.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1123

12/10/2012 Cork City Wildcats W 240-0 - made $1.9M

12/16/2012 Berlin Bengals W 255-0 (really 465-0) - made $2.4M

12/20/2012 Flaming Fire W 103-7 - made $1.6M

so I would say it continues to climb the higher the blowout
