In Distance Settings on AI inputs....Between My 5 and X.....versus Between X and my 5....if its on the five exactly....which of those two inputs would trigger?

Does order matter? Do both include 5 the way distances do in down and distance?

I guess thats it. So its a stacking issue as to which would trigger.

Since I typed it out, I'll hit submit anyway but I think I pondered this one out.

Whatever input is ahead of the other is what the sim will pull.

Yeah, thats what I thought.

Related question.

How the frak do you run out the clock on your 2 yard line?

You HAVE to run a play?

How about your 1 yard line?

Can you spike for the win if 2 seconds or less and you are on your own 1 or 2?

QB kneel... Oh wait you might not want to do that on your own 2.

I guess safe route is a run up the middle with your least likely to fumble HB.

I guess you could spike it if less than 2 seconds left?

I would hate to be the poor shmuck who called a spike play on 4th & 10 at my own 1-yard-line with 0:02 left on the clock, only to see the other team get a turnover-on-downs and a 1st & Goal at my 1 with 0:01 left due to some silly rounding issue with the time. Best to run a normal play there to burn out the clock, methinks.

The sim will not let you kneel the ball if it will give you a safety. You have to run a real play.

Ah I see.

I figured you would just LOL lose.

I'd be more worried about a tackle loss for safety if a DT or LB gets penetration.

hmm would it go to some random play?

Or ignore the input and go to the next input that triggers?

That might be a way to get the kneel down on the 2 but not give up a safety on the 1

if you're trying to kill 2 seconds and want the lowest risk, why not tell your team to line up for a FG attempt? From your 1 yard line that would be a 116 yard attempt, but there's an extremely low chance of a turnover (lower than fumble or INT).

Serious. That's actually pretty good advice.

Anyone ever tried a FG from their own 1 before? What happens?

You kick a missed FG is what happens

Well, the reason I ask is it wouldn't surprise me if there's something hidden in the sim that says "A 116-yard FG attempt? LOLNO", and then runs a random play for you on 4th down instead, which results in a fumble recovered for a TD by the other team.

Hence my question: anyone ever tried a FG from their own 1 before? The theory makes sense, but I want to know if anyone's actually DONE it.
