So, when setting the field goal range and it says to add the 17 yards the endzone and place of the hold to.determine where to kick from...is this accurate? So, to attempt a 60 harder would you put in 60 yards or would you put 43 (43 yard line)...

to attempt a 60yrd FG you put in 60yrds. You will attempt them as far back as the 43 (+17=60yrds)

They confuse people with that line. Just enter the distance you want to kick. If its 60 than you enter 60.

Uncorrect. You must have something in your Advanced AI that calls for longer FGs.

Remember, the Max Field Goal Range box only affects Basic/Casual offenses or AI Inputs that make use of the Special Circumstance setting. You can set a Max Field Goal Range of 0, but if you have an AI Input that calls for a FG attempt from midfield, your AI will override the Max Field Goal Range box and will follow that AI Input -- and attempt a FG from midfield.

But in case you actually do use that box (for a Basic or Casual offense), it's simple: if you put 47 in that box, the longest FG you'll attempt will be a 47-yard FG. (This would be a FG attempt where the line of scrimmage is at the 30.)

Exactly.....you were on the 8yd line and your AI says to kick a FG if your on the 15 yd line or closer. Just because you set it at the 15yd line doesn't mean he will only kick 15yd FG's. He will kick a FG when on the 15yd line or closer. If you only want him to kick 20yd FG's than you enter 20 in the box and you won't kick a FG unless your on the 3yd line or closer. If you enter 25 in the box he will only kick a FG if at the 8yd line or closer.

Make sense?

No...I said the exact same thing. Your just confused. If you leave the box blank than your AI will kick a FG 17 yards from where your AI says to kick a FG. If you say to kick a FG from the 15yd line or closer than he will attempt a kick as far as 32 yards away. 15yd line +17 yards for FG distance = 32 yard FG. If he is on the 8 yd line than it would be a 25 yd FG. 8yd line +17 yards for for FG distance = 25 yd FG.

If you enter a number in the box it eliminates the need to use the AI to select field position. It will do the math for you. If you enter 25 yards in the box it automatically accounts for the 17 FG distance and won't attempt a FG unless your on the 8yd or closer. If you enter 40 yards in the box it won't attempt a FG unless your on the 23yd line or closer.

Make sense now?
