Since my Position Battle Suggestion was shot down a few Seasons back, How about giving us some Stats for the Pre-Season Games so they mean a little something. Also this will help a Coach who isn't sure who to start or has his eye on a certain Position Battle.

As long as the stats don't count for anything (like pre-season games don't count for anything), yeah. Having something to gauge performance with is good. +1

I think this will add a new element to the Pre-Season that was lacking.

because its stupid? there are no stats in any games that dont count...including scrims.

Also it would be really dumb if a coach would decide who is playing more snaps based on stats in those preseason games.

true, but if you are testing out some tactics, a cumulative number might be useful in addition to looking at every play.

idk about the coaches making their decisions based off of it, but it could bring a bit of entertainment into the preseason. maybe make it more competitive even.

It's not about playing time, BT. One look at stats on a team shows me several things during the season. Pre-season is no different... except to get that same info I have to write down a ton of stuff (stats) so I have something to work with. I'll use ST's as an example; If I see our returner is killing it on kickoffs stat-wise... but sucking hind tit on punt returns, then I really need to have an in-depth look at what dots I have where and why it isn't working. It might be something simple and easy to fix. But, without stats, I simply see things one game at a time. Cumulative stats show better data... one game's worth of stats show very little. I don't change things based on one games' results. Just like Bugs Mods don't start changing things based on one buggy play submitted by one person.
