Is it too late to create a player at this point? I haven't been keeping up with when or if training points stop going out.

You have til day 48 to make a player if you plan to boost them this season. You have longer if you don't plan to boost them.

If you want to make a dot(s) today than go right ahead and you won't be missing anything

Go ahead and make your player by all means. He'll still be able to boost for this season (last day is day 48) if you are choosing to and you'll have loads of time to get training in with the next 2 days of the offseason left and the upcoming preseason! Training points continue to be rolled out, you get 2 a day. This is around the perfect time too

Anytime between day 40 and day 48 is exactly the same (if you are planning to boost early)

It's not, create on day 40 and you get more training in than a player created on day 43 for example. It's not much of a difference though, hence why I said it's 'around' the perfect time

I think you need to create a player.

If you create today you'd start with 22 training points. If you create tomorrow you'd start with 24 training points.

maybe a few seasons back, but not anymore.

a player built today is given training points retro'd back to day 40.

so ultimately both players get the identical training opportunities

thanks for the heads up on that, still only recently returned to the game, and everybody bangs on about creating their guy on day 40 for 'maximum training gain'

And I was corrected just like I corrected you. The best learning process is to be embarrassed in public. Makes you think twice before doing the same thing again

Nothing to be embarrassed about, so I got a minor fact wrong, no biggy. My Advice was still correct though and that was that it's a good time to make a player now.
