I know a FA must be on a team to gain TP's, but last season one of my dots joined a CPU team due to being cut and he didn't earn any TP's for the remainder of the season.

Was that a bug? Am I OK to get my FA's onto any old CPU team to get TP's whilst (hopefully) waiting for contract offers from real teams?

You get TP's no matter what, FA or not... BUT, in order to train you must be on a team.

To train you must be on a team but you get TP's no matter what. He was saying he wasn't getting TP's.. Which doesn't make sense.

Maybe he didn't train and didn't earn any more training points due to already being at the max allowed.

Oh yeah. I didn't think about that, max is what, 30?

30 if on a team. 14 if not on a team.

Correct. Both of my brand new Level 1 dots are total free agents right now, not even on CPU teams... but they're both all trained up for the moment.

I forgot about the exception during the offseason. I tried to train on day 40 but it wouldn't let me but that's because it wasn't officially the offseason and that threw me off a bit when I gave my answer. Thx for being an asshole....happy thanksgiving
