I wanted to get some thoughts on this from a production/effectiveness standpoint. This pertains to both my current guys and the progression i'd look to do with future players.

My current 79's are looking for WL teams to no avail unfortunately. From my understanding, it likely comes from them having average to slight above average PV's and in turn base stats. However, especially in regards to my DE... he has been very productive in recent seasons, including against WL competition in scrims. He's currently 3rd in FF for his conference and would be 11th in the current MVP race with 3 mediocre teams upcoming for him to improve his chances. but i digress a bit.....

He has a lower PV (1265.9) but has proven effective in part to his load of SA's and running 4 AEQ. Similar can be said with my CB..... 4 AEQ and a 1291 PV. I know he could use a bit more speed at this point but as a cover corner he's produced very well. He has a solid Target/RecAlw/PD ratio which from comparing to a particular 1400PV corner; I beat him in production. My guy playing at national level and he was in Regional Pro.

With that explained..... in order to hit the high 1300's or even 1400+ at those positions, it appears the only viable option is likely to go with 3 AEQ or/and have less SA's. This goes back to the old AEQ question..... how much PV is a piece of %AEQ worth?? If you're able to gain a couple points in your top3 attributes.... is it worth losing 7.5-15% of an effective bonus? Is PV really that important... or is there just a specific attribute for positions ppl are wanting to see at 160+ and willing to sacrifice other minor useful attributes to have it?
How should I and others still looking to get their players in WL adjust to make our players more desirable for that level of team? Thanks for any and all legit responses.

DO NOT sell a piece of your AEQ to 'artificially' raise your player value.

If a team is not interested in your build, selling a piece of AEQ is the completely wrong way of doing things. If a team is looking purely at player value, then that's not a team you want to be on anyways.

Most people go 3 AEQ and push 3-4 attributes nowadays because GLB has always been rather short-sighted in the equality of attributes. Things like confidence just don't compare to attributes like speed. Anyways, if people aren't interested in your build, there are likely build concerns.

Looking at your DE, people are going to be hesitant not because of your player value, but because you missed the boat on strength/speed/agility. It's just not an attractive build for WL play.

Fwiw, even if you were to go with a 4 AEQ build, there's no reason you wouldn't be able to really push your big attributes. A lot of that has to do with your early build strategies, which with a 4 AEQ build you'd still be multi-training.

If nothing else, 4 AEQ builds are really prime for builds where you push 1 attribute really hard as you're then leveraging the +58 from EQ. If you can combine a natural 105+ attribute with +58 you're looking at 163+ in your most important attribute which is generally a solid base for the rest of your build.

definitely wasn't looking at selling a piece just to buy SP's to boost that appearance. It was just a reference of future players going with 3 or 4 pieces.

Where do you feel the Trio of attribute should be for a pass rush DE?? My newest guy I was looking to end i think around 80/132/120

I've typically now looked to end my primary at about 85 training over to 86. So it sounds like in most cases you should shoot for 88-90? the SP cost at that point didnt seem worth the loss of overall build rounding...but sounds like having a finished build isn't as important has a higher primary.

It's less about prolonged spending and more about prolonged training.

And 80 strength for a DE will be suicide.

Your DE looks like one of those occasional dots that performs better than the build has any right to (although one gutted team per season inflates his stats). Unfortunately it's hard for WL owners like me to trust that he would continue to have that magic against WL competition. My current 4 AEQ DE has 104.52 natural strength, 89.58 speed, and 97.1 agility. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2308293 On your next dots make sure you continue training the main attribute in four-way multi-training until it's in the natural 90s and preferably all the way to 100.
