...right now you only need to look at the leagues to see that this game is failing it's userbase ...it would be fair to say that most users want to have control of a competitive team, but it's madness to expect them to spend thousands of dollars on the privilege ...too many CPU teams and skeleton leagues in this game ...if GLB really wants to promote this game, then there would be no better way of doing it ...give up on the money grab and show your users some love! ...that love will be returned as the userbase grows and more invest money into this game!

...just adding this for IdRatherFlyFish's understanding...

...what I mean by making competitive teams more affordable: so that less agents are required to support a team, which would probably fix the imbalance within teams and the leagues and would in turn, make this game more fun to be involved with

...these suggestions are just hypothetical examples of what could be considered and would probably need to be more refined through this thread, with others input in discussion...

suggestion #1
make 55dots with boosts/CEqs much cheaper so that more agents could do it on their own

...and/or...

suggestion #2
make it so that agents/coordinators/owners could pay a reasonable price for a share in a team depending on which role that they choose to play, by which they could have a portion of the team to control, build dots with boosts and CEqs supplied, etc
...for example, this could be somehow orchestrated so that the OC pays for his share in a team and automatically gets to build the offensive starting lineup(or maybe just the Oline?) ...and the DC gets the defensive starting lineup(Dline?), etc which would help to give more incentive for coordinating ...obviously, this would need to become more refined, but it would be better for the admin and developers to come up with a more amicable solution for that formula

...or...

suggestion #3
make this game so that we all pay a set season fee, and we all get a team with dots, CEqs, boosts, etc

If there is "too many" CPU Teams and Skeleton League's...You should have a Competitive Team!! Become a better Owner and Recruiter.

embrace change coz it has to happen if this game is gonna survive and flourish ...maybe you feel threatened by this suggestion coz of your status and involvement in teams and in a network?!? ...i have a job but let's be realistic, this game is of no real substance ...nobody should have to pay a fortune to get satisfaction from an online game coz you don't get any material assets from it ...at least with a car or a boat you can sell it once you have no purpose for it ...the only thing that you can get from this game is an E penal extension and how much time and/or money is that worth to you?!? ...if you have already spent a lot of money on a beta version of this game, then you have already screwed yourself ...I'm just saying let's make the game cheaper, so that it can become more enjoyable and satisfying to be involved with

...it still doesn't give the majority of users what they really want as value for money ...not every agent in this game can recruit to realize his dream of owning a competitive team ...there just are not enough willing agents in this game to support that perception of yours ...just look around the leagues and see how many teams are owned by agents that have half a team full of CPUs and are cellar dwellers ...look at how many teams are competitive in each league and ask yourself why ...it's obvious that this is where this game is failing

There are plenty of Owners out there that build competitive teams using skill or networking rather than a lot of money.

...Yeah, I can see how networks could feel threatened by this, but please don't cut off your noses to spite your faces

ManOgwaR,

You've not really made a suggestion. You've said "Make Competitive Teams More Affordable" - -but to do that, you need to define what a competitive team is. Even if I gave you a team for free - that does not make it 'competitive' - you'd need to recruit agents who build good dots. You'd need to recruit coordinators that knew what they were doing. You'd need to have good communication in the team forums.

None of those things cost flex - so a 'competitive' team, has very little to do with flex cost.

-1 to a non-suggestion.

Peace,

Fish

I'm leaving that to the discretion of the admins and game developers. but if you want some suggestions ...I'll add them to the OP!

you are basically saying that these owners need to invest more time into the game and that is what makes a team more successful and yeah, recruiting agents who build good dots is important also the way the game stands at the moment, but there are just not enough agents that are willing to help all human owners to achieve that and provide them the balance that their teams need

it is naive to state that coz builds, boosts and CEqs cost flex and are vital for competitive teams

And made it worse.

Suggestion #1: Get some friends. Or least a few friendly multis. (Just kidding mods) Seriously. I'm anti-social and dislike most of the people here. And I still think this is a bad idea. Further separating people won't help this game.

Suggestion #2: You can do this already. One guy pays the team price. 400 flex isn't back breaking. Others can decide which dots to build and who coordinates what. Just requires people to work together and organize. Seems to conflict with Suggestion 1 in a way.

Suggestion #3: No. Things are fine as they are. Not everyone wants a team and certainly don't want to pay extra for something they don't use. There are seasons I don't want the hassle of a team. I ain't paying for those seasons. Pretty sure Catch has gone on the record anyways against changes to the flex system.

When I mentioned networks earlier. I didn't necessarily mean an organized network. Never been a fan of those. I meant just a good group of guys willing to put a team together for fun.
