If it's 2 guys in the depth chart slot, 99/1

Otherwise 98/99 with the players ordered from low stamina to high stamina (lowest stamina placed first) will be fine.

Thank you.
And if you want a certain guy playing more?

I'd first try to "assign" that player to specific plays (such as you would "assign" a blocking TE to play on rushing plays). As for just adjusting the energy settings, I'd play around slightly with the settings (like 85/99 or whatever). Best bet would be to try it durring scrimmages or pre-season games to see what happens. Bad juju can happen in regular games.

forcing starters can also drastically affect playing time, but may not be consistent from game to game based on situations. also, ST takes 3x more energy than a regular play, so if one plays ST and the other doesnt, that affect playing time, but beware because if done wrong, it can turn the backup almost into a STOP.. i've seen too many teams do this to backups.

Using the custom slots on the depth chart and then matching that custom slot in the the AI.

Example:

Power HB in RB1 slot
Scat HB in RB2 slot
Elusive HB in the basic HB slot

Go into your AI or packages and select the custom slot to match the play you want. If you want to use the power HB than you select the RB1 slot in the AI or in your packages.
