If you could only choose one for a -100 super elusive dot. High jumping helps on diving tackles, which happen a lot from what I've seen, especially since the elusive dot runs away from opponents, so they have to dive at him.

what do you mean by "high"?

70+ strength, 40 jumping or so should be about right

Jumping helps break diving tackles. Strength helps break regular tackles.

Its up to you to decide what you want to do. That's the best part of this game. If you decide to go with high jumping then I suggest getting Hurdle to compliment it.

Whodey, doesn't strength help you break both regular AND diving tackles?

To my knowledge it may but its a smaller amount versus jumping if a diving tackle is needed. I could be very wrong though. I have seen power HB's break tackle after tackle and then get taken down by a CB with little strength on a diving tackle.

This.

Also strength is going to have a better effect on your break tackle roll, even if it's a diving tackle attempt.

6 strength CB makes diving tackle on power HB with over 100 strength

Tackles are easier from the side and that HB was moving slow as shit. A stationary dot will have trouble breaking tackles regardless.

The answer is carrying. Carrying > Strength or Jumping to break tackles AND they help with fakes.

The more you know.

^ this. That same CB hits him dead on in the front arc, probably bounces the HB back a yard and misses the tackle.

He is slow because I normally have all equipment in speed but our blocking FB is so slow that my HB was running past him so I switched his equipment to all strength to purposely make him slower so he he would stay behind the FB and I figured the extra strength would get him the 1-2 yards on 3rd/4th and short. I will move the equipment to speed down the road.

Still woulda thought 100+ strength and 52 carrying would get me the first down on 4th and 1. What was I thinking
