I have been away for a couple of years too. Just retired my players and have about 38,000 flex. Started a new WR just to see how it goes. Now I am just trying to remember how to build and good player.

the sim is about as good now as it has ever been, maybe better.
in theory, there shouldn't be any more earth shattering changes to the game. Which means that if you start with a solid player concept and use a decent build process, the odds of your player becoming completely obsolete (by the time he levels up) are almost nil
the last hurdle seems to be that there's a huge gap between an average player and a top quality one, so there's still a long and steep learning curve
