Mighty Chihuahuas
vs. Lakewood Lancers
Mighty Chihuahuas, aka Taco Bell Dogs, should have an easy time out of this one. The Lancers haven't had a very successful season up to this point and the future isn't looking to bright either.
Mighty Chihuahuas win easily 38-6
Eugene SLUGs
vs. Possum Trot Plague
The Slugs have had a rough start to the season, and this week will be another tough test. The Plague have exceeded most of our preseason expectations for them. I think they are the real deal.
Plague pulls out a tough one 21-17.
Dallas Hitmen
vs. Chicago Inferno
The Hitmen need to get started if they plan to make the playoffs. Chicago has some tough games left on their schedule as well. The inferno still have a decent shot at getting in, while Dallas had better win this game to get back on track.
Inferno wins 24-13.
****Game of the Week****
Timpanogos Thunder
vs. Honolulu Beach Boys
If there ever was a game I wish I could attend, this would be it. These two team are looking amazing. As much as I love the Beach Boys, I got a gut feeling that this one will swing the other way. I'm going out on a limb because I think the Thunder got something special going on this season.
Thunder in a tight one, 19-17.
Tana River Ewoks
vs. Montana Crow
Crow ain't looking too good this year.
Ewoks 35-0
Seattle Buffalos
vs. Houston Toxins
The Toxins continue to fall short of last seasons start, and the Buffalos are nearing the bottom. Not much to see in this one.
Toxins win 28-10.
Las Vegas Aces
vs. Minnesota Mountain Lions
The Lions still have an outside shot at the playoffs, but it is a long one. The Aces are just playing for a few wins to draw recruits in next year.
Lions 20-10.
Los Angeles Express
vs. Long Beach Dub All-Stars
These two team started the season with championship dreams, and while they are not gone, they have been clouded a little. This would easily have been GOTW any other week of the season.
Dubbers win 27-20.
Ottawa Outbreak
vs. Philadelphia Pigeons
Both of these teams would be in the playoffs if they started today. Unforunately they don't, and they both have tough schedules to finish out. This win is crucial for the Outbreak. But it is also elusive.
Pigeons 19-13.
New Orleans Night Trippers
vs. FC Hezbollah
Night Trippers jumped out to a 3-1 start, but have dropped their last four in a row. The Hezbollah are sitting at 5-3 and looking much better than last year. Look for them to pull this one out.
FC wins 21-9.
Saint Paul Vulcans
vs. Tampa Bay Krakens
Saint Paul has won their last six games in a row. The Krakens have gotten out to a 4-4 start, but look for them to fall under .500 after this week.
Vulcans 33-17.
Crescent City Saints
vs. Sheffield Sabres
Sabres aren't very good. The Saint's aren't either. But the latter is better than the former.
Saints 38-7.
Ole Miss Rebels
vs. 10-Yard Fight
The Rebels still aren't playoff material, but they are definately my most improved team from last season. After the blowout they handed out last week, look for them to wina close one tonight.
Rebels win another close one, 17-13.
Tecmo All Stars
vs. Bonita Beef Supreme
Every team in the east has to play Tecmo once during the regular season. I'm glad the Ewoks are in the West.
Juggernauts 42-0.
Awesomeville Bearphins
vs. New Jersey Blaze
Both of these teams are unbeaten and looking good for the playoffs. But one has to lose tonight, and I'm thinking the Blaze will come up short.
Bears 27-24.
****Snoozer of the Week****
New Jersey FalCoons
vs. Buffalo Chips
Loser of this game will at least have the honor of saying they are not the Worst team in the league. I guess the Sabers saved them from that.
Chips 6-3.
vs. Lakewood Lancers
