So...I got a casual rookie team and was hoping to learn about owning and using tactics there first before going on to competitive leagues. It's hard to do when there are only a few players to send offers to and none at some positions. How about having less teams so this doesn't happen? Supply more players and create less teams. That way all the teams can have human players. Supply and demand.

I returned to this game after a couple of years and now I'm seeing people talk about using the rest of their retired flex points and then leaving the game. Is the game just about money now or something? Should I have stayed away? I'm about to quit again cause I just paid for a team that has been put in an impossible position to improve.

When did you buy?

Have to line up rook recruits as early as you can. Before offers can go out on Day 42 ideally.

Happens to all of the GMs. so keep on trying to look for players. You're bound to field a full team before start of next regular season.

Part of learning to own a team is learning to recruit.

Can't recruit when there's no one to recruit. Considering the amount of teams filled with CPU rosters that were available for purchase, I'm sure there's a huge shortage of human players. I went and found the team with the most human players on it to purchase, 5. Most had zero.

I didn't know about having to recruit before day 42 and I purchased the team yesterday. But it's still a little ridiculous how many CPU filled teams there are still left. I knew it would be difficult to recruit, not impossible. I'm fine if it was difficult, but it's not. And if I sell the team back I lose flex point for nothing...it's not like I don't want the team though, I just can't field much of a team because of the website's fault in providing too many teams when there are not enough human players.

If it's a rookie team you have to recruit the agents to make the players, not recruit the players. Most people now don't just make dots to have dots, they make them because a friend or network has a team starting.

Yeah, the FA market is shit. Your best bet is to just play out this season and then demote back down to rookie next season. In the meantime get the word out that you need rookie dots for next season and have a roster committed by the end of this upcoming season.

It's easy to demote now. Near the end of next season a demotion request will appear on your team page. Just select rookie and your team will automatically stay in rookie.

The only league worse than the one you're in are the peewee copper leagues.
