note: I am not the expert on FBs - maybe someone has a better plan but if nobody posts this will net you a pretty decent dot.
Blocking FBs -
Major Agility Blocking Strength Vision (+.5)
Minor Carrying Confidence Speed Stamina (+.2
Start by Capping Strength first
After that your choice, Blocking or agility with the other as your 3rd. and than make speed your 4th option over vision since you need more speed than you do vision.
You could even do Strength, Agility, speed, than blocking.
this isn't the absolute best build plan, but it works
1.) Enhance main attribute by 10%.
2.) Enhance main attribute by 20%. ASAP
3.) Train the main attribute from on NORMAL now until day 48 (Whenever closest to 99%)
4.) Enhance 30% main ASAP
5.) Enhance 40% main ASAP
6.) Boost once and cap your main attribute, then boost final two times to level 4. (day 48 or last day of the season the dot was created)
7.) Continue to Normal Train through preseason. As soon as you have 36 BT's saved up its time to start multi training
8.) Deciding what multi attributes to purchase? PM me.
9.) Enhance all 3 multi attributes purchases to 20% (Your main should be one of these and already at 40% so really just the other 2)
10.) Multi Train every 4 days (hold off if you are close to rolling over your main and close to capping, saves a SP or two)
11.) All SP's for your first season should go into the main attribute, by the end of the season this attribute should be near 88. If you want to take it higher that's up to you but I'd advise taking it at least here to 86 with SP's before moving on.

By the end of season 31, strength should be anywhere between 77-86 depending how extreme you want to go.

That's an awful, awful, awful build plan. First off, training normal at the start is a mistake. You should be training on intense after creation to maximize training gains during that period. Secondly, you should never take anything to 40%. In very rare cases you could advocate going to 50%, but never 40% because 40% offers a very negligible gain over 30% and is not worth the cost in bonus tokens. Also, attributes unlocked for multi-training should be raised to 30% and not 20%. Raising anything to 20% probably isn't worth it, as you should either go to 30% or stay at 10%. It is also a huge mistake to say that every build should keep spending skill points in the first attribute until 85+. Only the most extreme builds like DL / OL or any build focused on speed-only should go to those lengths. Other builds can stop anywhere from 73 to 83 depending upon the build plan and how many attributes you eventually plan to second+ cap.
Look, I get that you're trying to help people but you're giving out "advice" that will actually hurt them, so please don't.

Basic build plan for any .5 ALG dot
If going strength first then pick one pound below the maximum. If picking speed first then pick one pound above the minimum. Enhance the first attribute to 10%, train intense three times, enhance to 20%, then train intense until you have a nearly full bar at 32.9x. Convert 15 bonus tokens to a skill point and cap to 48.9x. Then boost. Next season you'll enhance to 30% and normal train, then second cap, then continue normal training, then third cap. At that point you'll unlock and enhance your attributes for multi-training.
For what it sounds like you want, I would choose the Blocking FB archetype and recommend going the strength route and picking one pound less than the maximum weight, then you'll do what I described to the strength attribute. You should be able to reach the third cap (you'll be 68.9) at level 7. At that point you'll watch to switch to multi-training. Unlocking strength & blocking are pretty much no-brainers, but for the third choice you can either go with agility or speed. Most would tell you agility because it's a major, and that's probably correct, but if you want your player to be watchable early on then you might want to choose speed instead. Whatever you choose, all three attributes you unlock should be raised to 30% whenever you have the bonus tokens to do so. For the free first choice in four-way multi-trains you should probably choose whatever attribute between speed and agility that you didn't unlock. You can also rotate vision, stamina, catching, and carrying through their to train them into the high 20s/low 30s to prepare them for capping later.
As far as skill points are concerned, for a more balanced type of FB I would recommend only taking strength to 77 before switching to blocking and taking that to 77, and then repeating with whatever you chose for the third unlock. You can make a blocking FB who does that job well while still saving enough skill points to eventually first or second cap catching and carrying. Doing so will prevent defensive coordinators from being able to ignore your player when he's in the game for pass plays. Normal equipment can go into speed until later in your dot's career when you have enough speed to move equipment points into strength.

I personally didn't follow it but it's not as bad as you guys are making it seem. Bolick in particular thinks there is only 1 way but in reality there are multiple ways and all produce similar builds.

I agree there are multiple ways but there were several things wrong with that particular build guide. You really should never enhance 4 times. Usually you either 3 times or if your going extreme than you go 5 times but never 4. You should also intense train your primary upon creation. Your primary should hit 49 while still a level 1 dot so you can take full advantage of the ALG's right from your first boost.

No, the build method you posted is awful.
