I had been using that to keep my old decrepit saftey on teams for fun but its no longer working and i am wondering why. Thank you.

Your old decrepit safety is too old to be on teams, the max age is set at 1000.

Cant you just search for teams that have auto offer turned on and get an offer that way?

No cause the max is set at 1000, so auto offers will ignore his player, because he doesn't match the criteria

^ correct. you can ask support for help to get your player onto a team but there is apparently no way to receive a contract via the normal process with the way bort currently has things coded.

Don't know if it's intentional (to get people to recycle players) or just an arbitrary number he never thought people would bypass.

I am guess it's mostly the later.
