Sounds complicated but let me further explain. What I mean is have a player's contract end at the end of every offseason. however that doesn't mean that during the offseason my team's players can't look for new teams. If they find a new team during the offseason they would be free to sign with the new team. I hate having all the players' contracts on my team expire at the end of the season and not knowing it. Yes I know I need to look further ahead but it would be nice if we had the negotiations be able to last throughout the offseason to give us a bit more time to re-sign our players when everything is all calm and no games are being played so that halfway through the season we do not have to rebuild every year.

Also, no way this is going to happen. Do you realize how badly this would further fuck up team movements on day 41?

Contracts expire the roll over after championship games.

So there should only be two teams in each league that do not get time to relax from game planning and deal with contracts.

Half the teams will already have had 8 days to do this in fact. Three quarters 6 days or more.

Not sure we need to keep everyone waiting around for longer than that. Its already kinda frustratingly long.

I might not object to one more day. But its not that hard to send out contract extensions via the roster contract page.

What I have suggested before, though, and which might serve your purpose, is that if a player re-signs with a team his contract just expired with, meaning there was obviously an oversight on someones part, then have their be no chemistry hit for the release and re-signing.
