I just had some dude with a shitload of multis PMing me with flame filled tirades. After that I'm not sure I even like someone being able to send me 3.

Think this would be ok if it were a user-end option to select the ability to be able to receive more than 3 (unlimited) unread messages from the same user. This would be good for those that might have to go away for some time, but other than that it would not effect anyone else as it would only be used for those that might need it.

Odds are, not many would probably need this option, and if they did they probably don't know that they do.

They aren't raising the limit of PMs from user to user, it was put in place to prevent a spamfest via pm.
