Forum > Suggestions > Why cant we schedule each "age group tier" to play the same day???

For example

Pee Wee - All play Day 2

Rookie - All play Day 1

Prep - All play Day 2

University - All play Day 1

Regional Minor - All play Day 2

National Minor - All play Day 1

Semi Pro - All play Day 2

Regional Pro - All play Day 1

Pro - All play Day 2

World - All play Day 1

This will ensure that each player gains the exact same XP and VXP gains (provided their boost schedule)

This will also help out with tournies to be played on NON game days.

However at the Pro/WL level ALL teams should be ready to play a tourney game at any point so this doesnt really affect the top levels.

I could be wrong, but I think the main reason it is set up the way it is, is to make sure that both days have roughly the same number of games. Different age groups are different sizes and could make number of games each day too unbalanced.

This season there are 106 leagues, 53 play on odd days and 53 on even, so looks like Burns could be right.

But if there was way to get all age groups to sim on the same day, and still keep the number of games even then I'm all for it

You really want the youngest leagues to play on the even days, as that helps their development.

But, yeah, it's been suggested several times, it's been elevated to voting at least once, and we're still at status quo.

+1 would certainly help make the occasional in-between game tournament matchups more fair

the other groups that would benefit would be the non-sanctioned "underground" leagues, so perhaps GLB doesn't want to do anything that would help them

+1: it wouldn't take much to calculate to balance it out much.
