I've got a lvl 16 DE that will be a 19 by the end of the season. By that point I'll be at the soft cap for strength/speed/agility. My current passing rushing tree is at 4-3-3-3-3.

My question is, when I boost before next season, should I put all my SPs into just one of the SAs? Like say Shed Block? Or should I spread them out more evenly between First Step/Shed Block/Tunnel Vision? Is there a huge difference between having a SA at 10 rather than 6? I'd appreciate some input on this. Thanks.

Having 1 high SA is probably more noticeable. I'd go shed block to 7.

if you stack them you have to remember one thing, each position has a different physical ability that "unlocks" their special abilities, that is why players with a lot of special abilities dont do good, so before adding all of those points to one special ability i would take a look and do some research like asking admins before you waste them all in one SA

I somewhat doubt that admins would divulge that information, as they often toute the importance of mystery in the game. It couldn't hurt to try, though.

I would go off the actual description of the SAs. Some are explicit in what is the important attribute to have for the SA to be more effective.

I would get my attributes up fairly high before stacking up a lot of points in SA.

Why does everyone seem to think that every single SA works based on some attribute? Maybe some of them just work by themselves and are compared to your OPPONENT's attributes...

I think i will trust Bort on this one...

thanks for the thoughts. i think i've decided to spread my boost SPs between first step and shed block. that'll get them both up to 7 a piece. with that and having around 50 speed and 58 agility, surely i'll become a marginally effective pass rusher. at least that is what i'm hoping.

I was curious whether anyone has seen a significant increase in production due to putting points into shed block (or I guess, any other SA). As in, does anyone have success stories where we can see the difference? Like.. "I boosted shed block from 2 to 5 after game 6, and afterwards I've been averaging 2 more hurries a game", or something similar?

So you guys think having 7-8 in one is better than 5-5-5-5-1?

Yes generally that is better. Most ability's only really start working at about 7.

But 5 should get some effect and spread the chances of activating, just dont expect to big hit-fumble every couple of tackles or shed blocks every other play.

Being amazing at one thing and mediocre at others, is better than being average at everything. Most offensive linemen you are against will have their points spread out evenly. So if you can get better than them at one thing and use that one thing repeatedly then more power to ya. The other skills will come in handy when you are good at those moves that beat them.

Shed block --> swims, rips, ect.
Other SA's that give a bonus to agility + speed ---> give a bonus to those attributes that will further help shed block.

Gotta get the basic ability working good before you can try to augment it. Thats the way I look at it. No point in going on steroids if your not even gonna work out regardless
sorry, bad analogy
