okay let me try and explain this.. as im looking at other leagues, higher lvl players and team owners, i notice that alot of them have like 25 teams and are gming for like another 30 after that(exaggeration of course). I understand that you can play and enjoy the game however you want, but im just wondering if there's a such thing as overkill? or like this is my team im sticking with it? is it that once your at the top you get bored? In my head id like to believe that me as a coordinator game planned against another coordinator and we both spent as much time as possible trying to come up with a winning strategy. i guess i just wanna know ppls thoughts about being a part of so many teams, more of an opinion question.

It's all in what you're comfortable with. There are also some people that have plenty of coordinators to help them run the teams they own. It doesn't really take that long to gameplan anyway. It's more important to have solid AIs set up than sitting and watching replays for hours on end during the regular season. Really doesn't take much longer during the playoffs, either.
The people you see with tons of GM spots on teams are typically lolGMs for most of them. They don't really coordinate. Many of the GMs with my teams are people with a player on the roster or people that can liven up my team forums.

thanks i just wanted to see it from a different point of view. appreciate the response.
Everything is relative. There are owners that own teams where everything on the team is theirs (and I mean everything). There are owners who only own a few teams and GM on others (I work for several of those). Personally I suspect the single most important aspect of owning a team (or more than one) is the ability to fill it with human dots... preferably of quality. Of all things team-ownership-wise, this is the hardest to accomplish currently as there are WAY more teams available than dots to fill them. Once you've established relationships with good builders that will help you fill your team, then you can think of adding as many teams as you think you can handle (with, or without, help)... unless you simply wish to own a team and fill with CPU dots to learn (ownership/management/financial skills) with. Just my 2 centavos.

@theo, i understand the whole "to each his own" type deal, and i am planning on getting as many human players and coaches on my team as possible. I do feel like thats what the game is made for. im just asking if winning is less rewarding, because you work for so many different teams? or is it enough knowing you did your part to help these teams win?

Then that is purely personal. As for myself, I love winning just as much as anyone else here... but I refuse to let losing cause me grief. Whatever part I play in a championship, big or small, I'm more than seriously satisfied. But there are those to whom winning is all that makes them happy. Losing brings out the "angry/sad man" in them. I've always believed if you ain't enjoying what you're doing, don't do it.
