Suggestion: Code it so that a blocker can only engage one defender at a time.

It just makes sense. It is impossible for an O lineman to block two guys at once, especially when the guys are on each side of him.

I understand a defender may be slowed going around a blocker that is already engaged due to tight spaces but the blocker should be able to physically engage both. http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2146387&pbp_id=2559715 ROLB slowed down but still goes through the gap.

Sweep to strong side. LG blocks the DT and ROLB at the same time(one on his right shoulder the other on his left).

thats a lie. Sometimes olinemen push the dlinemen into the LBs in real football which is like blocking 2 guys since it takes them both out of the play.

so no, it isnt impossible.

He's prolly talking about O-linemen engaging two defenders at the same time.

It's p much every ROLB blitz, at first I thought it was just the LB taking a bad path or being slow to change direction, but I've seen it enough now that I would agree w/ the OP

Yeah, more than a few times I've seen the O-lineman pancaking one defender while holding his block with another. Pretty silly, tbh.

It is impossible to block two guys at once. You are describing a situation that is blocking one guy into another, hence blocking the 2nd guy without engaging him.

So let me say it is impossible to engage two defenders with a single blocker without holding.

unless their builds suck. if theyre pretty solid builds, then no it shouldnt happen.

The Center was blocking the NT, who broke his block, which is when the C blocked the MLB. That seems more like the strafing "bump" blocking ...

That seems legit.

The LG blocking does seem pretty lulzy

I see that now on the C but the LG is pretty bad. You can see if the ROLB had been allowed to shoot the gap it would may have resulting in a nice loss since it was a delayed counter sweep.

thats what i said, the MLB seemd liked he had to slwo down to squeeze thru the gap, but i had nothing to defend the LG lol

Also, how often does this happen?

I'd think some OC's would wonder why blocks weren't made in this instance:
