My team is in Casual University. I've followed the boost before the play-offs theory and its worked pretty well i feel. More and more I'm seeing agents boosting their players at the begining of the season. I actually own 39 players on my team, so I wont to do this the right way, but I also dont want to sacrifice getting beat up throughout the season. I'm lookin to goto the Casual Pro if I can get there, so I also know I need to keep that in mind. What is your guys thoughts on this?

Oh, I didnt realize the Vet XP increased then. But does that outweigh losing some quad training and possibly effecting your builds laster down the road?

1) You always want to wait to boost if XP will be lost by boosting early. If no XP will be lost than it truly comes down to whether you want to compete in tournaments and have a chance against the other boosting teams and/or it comes down to boosting to help you reach certain caps. If I need 6 points to cap something before I rollover my training and I know I only get 5 points when I level up naturally than I go ahead and boost to get the 6 points and then I cap my attribute and then roll my training over.

Here is a general guideline:

Level 69+ (245 days old) - boost away, no changes to XP
Level 63-65 (222 days old) - Wait until either 68 (or the playoffs, whichever comes first) to boost or you will lose XP
Level 58-60 (197 days old) - Boost away, you can't hit 68 this season
Level 54-56 (178 days old) - Boost away, you can't hit 68 this season
Level 49-51 (148 days old) - Wait until you hit 53 to boost or you'll lose XP
Level 43-45 (127 days old) - Wait until playoffs to boost or you'll lose XP (note that you can boost to 45 before playoffs and not lose xp)
Level 40-41 (117 days old) - Boost away, you can't hit 53 this season (sub 40 wait until you hit 40 to boost)
Level 34-36 (92 days old) - Wait until 40 to boost or you will lose XP
Level 26-28 (68 days old) - Wait until 31 to boost or you will lose XP
Level 17-19 (40 days old) - Boost away, you cannot hit 32 during regular season (note: Most people are waiting until 22 to get better training gains and then boost from 22 to 25 for the VA's)
Level 1-4 (0 Days old) - Wait until playoffs to boost or you will lose XP

Why wait unitll you hit lvl 40 to boost? Wouldnt it be best to wait till the end of the season, or do you mean day 40?

Because level 40 is when daily XP changes from 50 to 25 so you want to wait and get that 50 daily XP for as long as you can.

Basically......this is the official XP guide of GLB. As long as you don't lose XP you can boost whenever the hell you want. Waiting to boost gets you smaller training gains but your behind boosted teams for tournaments and/or the regular season. Its just a matter of preference....just don't lose XP to boost if possible.

losing XP by boosting is irrelevent in the end because all dots (if always boosted) will end at level 79 and the XP left over will always be minimal with the cap in place

I boost at the end of season 1, from 22 to 25 in season 2, then early from then on, because you always will end at 79

Yeah, his advice is outdated. In some cases it's actually better to boost early to throw xp off a bit so that you have some to trade in.

Yeah...that's why I said it was a "general guideline" to at least give people an idea in the hopes it will sink in and they will understand it better.

with the players made in season 1 of the APD, players are starting this season in increments of 40 from 240 and below

so the start points for all those seasons no longer apply

and for those same dots, they will all hit the XP cap so 125XP is about the most you could ever have left over

the losing out on XP discussion doesn't matter any more - it mattered 5 seasons ago when that was put together, but not now
