To find a team for a qb? Do I really need to buy my own team to get a chance to play? Not advertising him here, but last season I had to settle for a new owner with his first team in a league the team didn't belong in just so I could play, and have been trying to find a team since I was released at the end of my contract and it's like every team owner makes their own qb's so it seems almost impossible to find a team for one.

Too many QBs, not enough teams. Too many players making less-than-ideal QBs. Many teams when they are created already have someone lined up to create the QB position, etc etc etc.

Makes sense, thanks...just frustrated that I can't find a team when after 4 years of making offensive linemen and punters for people I try to make something more glamorous lol

You could try to find a team that will take your player from level 1 to 79 before it is even created. Join a network that is fitting for you, for example. Make sure you know 100% how to build a QB.

Hell, propose a package to one of those starting teams... "I'll build 2 OL and the QB" or something... Fill their positions that are the hardest to fill and ask for the priviledge of making the QB as a return.

Good luck.

Yeah, it doesn't even matter if you build the QB perfectly, unless you have a home beforehand or get lucky then you'll always struggle to find a job. It's especially tough now that most teams don't use 2 passing QBs any longer.

edit:
Although at this point your best bet might be trying to talk someone into using 2 QBs if they have an open roster spot. Play up the notion that it helps with morale and energy, but that will only work if the existing QB isn't the team owner's.

another solution would be to pair a qb up with much needed players and go as a package deal only. like some returners do by providing a few STOPs.

Most owners (myself included) avoid any package deal including a HB or QB.

Yeah, if my roster is bare I will go for a package deal if they're bringing enough dots. Some of them have 2 QBs, 2 HBs, and a K. Don't really go for those. lol

Start looking early for teams that will be starting the following season. Many will have sign ups for the team in the middle of the current season for the following season. But like others have said, a good network is very helpful...and once they get to know you and trust that you are sticking around they will sign you up for a QB. A good network would reward an agent that makes good OL players.
