It seems to me that Sacks are disproportionately weighted in the MVP calculation. Regardless of position, the only players who ever win the award have a large number of sacks, even if they have very few other stats. Perhaps the fact that a sack also gives a tackle wasn't taken into account? It just seems ridiculous that the only way to win the MVP is to blitz a dot as much as possible.

Exactly. Building an exceptional cover dot will finish you at about #10-15 in the race every season because your DC isn't blitzing him 10+ times a game.

FFs and INTs are a pretty big part of the calculation now. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough FFs and INTs. Bump those and the OP's problem fixes itself.

But PDs seem to not be anything. I have seen dots go 6-6 on PDs in a game and they are not even close to the top of the list.
