I accidently delted the alert telling me my dots team was sold and that I could release him.

Did not have the time to decide what to do with him then (ignore or flex him) and then deleted the alert accidently.

Seems there is no other place to release him other than via that alert. Seems silly.

Why not add a release link on the player contract and or profile page?

Like an opt-out option on the contract page when your team is sold? You don't accept contract offers through alert only, I guess I don't know why you would only be able to opt-out of them through alert only. Sounds simple enough to me.
