By making it on Day 40, it means I have an expense that I must pay at a time when all of my flex is possibly tied up in rolling walking flex stock on locked rosters.

It means that I either have to buy more flex, or if my cash at that moment is tight then I have to root around my players for custom equipment to sell etc. Or I have to sell a team.

As someone whose flex gets tight at times (wife is a teacher so seasonal variation and three tuitions to pay), this is not a fun game choice to make.

Now I know Bort probably likes this little conundrum since it is a Buy Flex situation. But it is also a situtaion that may push some owners out of the game, and I think thats a bad thing for the game in the long run.

So why not move the team ownership to Day 41. Then dots are off of teams and available to retire for flex if need be. This gives agents more flexibility as it were, and that makes it more likely team ownership will be continued.

all you have to do is sell off the CE of the player you are retiring and that 630 FP can cover the team cost for the next season

a better option is to allow a player under contract to go straight to retirement if their team is out of the playoffs (as well as the GLB tournament), it is past day 33 and the contract is ending after that season.

May or may not also add that the owner needs to sign off if the team is in a non-GLB official tournament

pushing team expiration date to day 41 likely would make day 41 and 42 roster freeze dates and no one wants that

Maybe don't own 8 teams and you wouldn't have to worry about it.

I do not see how it would interfere with roster freeze. The players would still be released....oh I get it. Team

Ya.

Never mind.

Yeah I do now. I forgot about the roster dump from sold teams.
