The Roster Lock of the Trade Deadline is nearly as important as the end of the season and last day to boost etc. Please put that in an announcement.

Hate getting stuck with some 6 week inactive on the roster I could have released for no chem hit because the roster lock snuck past me unnoticed.

Every season...day 24. What's hard to remember about that? It's also always in the calender on the home page.

The "announcement" in the mini-calendar is more noticeable than a regular announcement, imo

I often overlook the announcements

As far as I am concerned this is already in place. There is the little calendar at the top of your home page. It tells you what day of the season it is, as well as what special 'events' are up coming.

No excuse to miss that.

The calendar is

1) Part of the banner. it blends in, not noticeable unless you decide to go look at it.

2) Useless. There are only two days of note on the calendar, the trade deadline and the last day of the season - and the second one is often changed. Why would you look at the calendar?

3) Announcements are in the actual game field, stuff you look at and do. Much more noticeable. Unless you decide to minimize it, should be obvious on log in when there is an announcement.

4) So what if YOU dont think its necessary? Why does it have to be NECESSARY to be done? How about convenient for some players? Shower heads adjust, Seats adjust, and they sell 51 flavors of ice cream for a reason. Customer friendly includes appealing to a variety of tastes and needs. Customer unfriendly is for monopolies and companies about to go out of business.

This.

There are always people shooting down ideas that probably wouldnt even apply to them. To the CASUAL player or NEW player some of these things could make it less frustrating for someone learning the game thus keeping players around and making more money for the big dog.

Between my teams I might.

But mostly was talking about the roster lock where you can no longer release players.

I have at times had an inactive on the team who was inactive so long I figured he would not be coming back to renew his contract. Yet since he's a plateau dot he is serving a roll on the team so I want to keep him as long as I can - BUT since I am going to lose him anyway I may want to release him just before the roster lock to save the chemistry hit on Day 41 when his contract runs out (inactive players are released chem hit free).

Which of course sucks if you forget the roster lock is coming and then you're stuck with the guy.

Your choices listed above, 1) "if you decide to look at it"

Well, make the decision to look at it. Then not only will you know what day of the season it is but also what important events are upcoming.

To many announcements and people begin to stop checking them. Kind of like team alerts when owners make ALERT for every little thing...gets annoying as hell
