Allow newly signed dot(s) to be added to the depth chart, but just not play in the next game (depending on if it would make them go over or come up short of the 16 games) so they do not get left off the depth chart because of the initial restrictions.

One way this could be accomplished is to be able to add them to the preset depth charts, where they would be available to play in scrimmages, friendlies, etc but just not in the next regular season game.
If there is an in-eligible player on the depth chart of a regular season game, then there should be a notice of sorts that would state that "This Depth Chart Is Not Acceptable Due To In-Eligible Player", and will not accept the changed settings. This would potentially pop up when setting a preset that has the in-eligible player, or when changing the preset to add the in-eligible player if the preset is used for a game that would make the new player in-eligible in a regular season game.
