My understanding is that the reason we added so much to make QBs hold their first progression in the current sim is because they were throwing the ball too quickly for some OCs (not me, but I use a possession not a deep passing game). So the system was changed to make QBs hold onto the ball longer.
My solution is a slider where you can determine how long you want your QB to hold his first progression (and his subsequent progressions - if you want him to hold them longer just make that receiver the first 2 progressions instead of the first 1 only). To accompany it we would roll back the passing system to the way it was 2 seasons ago when QBs seemed to move through their progressions in a more fluid, natural way.
The slider would look like this:
Cycle Quickly through Progressions........Like it was 2 seasons ago..................Like it is now
-100................................................................0................................................................100
This slider would be in the QB's tactics page.
There would also be a slider in the packages for individual plays, however (and this is very important) there would be a check box that reads "Override QB Tactics for this Play" that the OC would check. This will prevent redundancy problems like we have now with DBs and having a coverage distance slider in two places that both apply.
