So so sooooo sick and tired of watching a really fun competitive game for a half and then watching it fall into a ludicrous Keystone Cop charade in the second half because of the morale spiral and or the VAs and SAs that skew the late game results.

Its really UnFun Bort, and not reflective of anything in real football whatsoever.

Either tone it down to where its a minor variation or get rid of it altogether.

(example in hand my game against Hugo which was 17-12 at the half, where we actually were having the upper hand much of the time but got stopped for FGs on three of four scoring drives, to a 61 to 12 loss with 30 points in the fourth quarter.

Professional Football players do not go from tight contests to tossing interceptions and laying down on blocks and tackles because their opponent scores a couple of times, nor do teams Wake Up that much from one half to another.

No, its a demand that the morale spiral be nerfed.

And that the Streaky etc VAs SAs that stack performance at the end of the game for some inexplicable reason be nerfed as well.

Thats a suggestion. One I have made before but given the 60 day lock and crummy search I cant bump the prior suggestion so here tis again. With the VA SA thing added on.

Hugo. Was a nice tight game then became unwatchable. You could tell that it reached a point in the third where my guys were no longer going to make plays because of the spiral thing and or the SA VA stuff. You could practically hear the Benny Hill theme song coming on.

Been watching that crap for seasons on end, really really sick and tired of it.

I think I will put a dot to Flex in protest.

Are YOU Happy watching close games suddenly shoot out of control?

I am not.

I like a competitive game. I can cheer a tight loss. Okay with an F word, but also some praise.

Close Games turned blow outs, thats nothing but annoying.

Pretty much what should happen when a much better team plays a much weaker team with several inactive players. Be happy that at least you kept it close for a half.

You're looking at the Word Tourney game. Not talking about that one (forgot about that one).

The Hugo played the OTM today in a regular season game. The two teams are 26 EL apart, and I have no inactive players on my roster. The Miracle are a little beat up chemistry wise, 85 over all vs 100 for Hugo, and if we lose the game on that I am not complaining toooo much (though Chemistry is over done too, per my threads on that subject in prior seasons). I am not even complaining if we lose regardless.

I am just complaining about the ludicrous slide in performance that can happen in GLB from one half to the next. The two teams are fairly evenly matched. To have the game be a 2 point game in the first half and then a 40+ point differential in the second is idiotic.

Not that it couldn't happen. If this was a one time thing so be it.

But its constantly how it goes in GLB. And thats because of the stupid systems that I am asking be nerfed.

BTW though the Word has a bigger EL and Chem disadvantage, their game was very similar, 30 point fourth quarter as well.

As for the notion that "this is what it should be" check out the NFL scoreboards for last season. Not a single game even remotely close to the gear changes that happen in GLB constantly. Biggest differential in a second half that was way off the first half was 21 points in a single game.

Yeah GLB is not the NFL. But that doesnt mean it has to work extra hard to look nothing like it.

Its been a couple seasons since I complained about it I think. But its a standard bitch of mine.

I partially agree with you. I think team performance impacts morale too much, if not from a realism standpoint then just from a playability standpoint.

I'm for morale spirals if they hit a player who is, himself, playing very poorly. What I'd change if I could would be how team failures hit the morale of everyone on the team as much as they do. I suggested that, though, and it wasn't popular.

Part of it is Confidence, though. Put a team on the field where everyone has 100 Confidence and you won't see morale spirals. Yeah, the team would suck because of losing stats from other areas, but there'd be no morale spirals. To some extent, though, they need to be possible, to keep Confidence relevant.

Where I really disagree with you is when you blame SAs and VAs. You can use those just as easily to help yourself (or the agents on the teams can, anyway).

My solution (not that anyone much wants it) would be to make team events affect morale a lot less, but individual effects affect it somewhat more. You wouldn't have a whole team effectively quit then. I think you'd take that over nothing, but I don't think you'd find many others who would agree even with my more modest proposal.
