So many old links to teams takes you through the WTFdiditgo loop and then the home page, too many teams turned into memories and scattered electrons.
I say thats a bad thing,
Its bad because it removes some of the games history and in a stat driven game like this, history is 9 tenths of the draw. We enjoy the game because we are building a dynastyic record (or floptastic). The constant reminder that it will vanish the second we sell the team is not helpful to player retention or effort.
Moreover, I know of at least one player who would have bought their old team back if they had the chance. But because it was gone, he went without.
So, rather than deleting teams, shelve them. Put em in Mothballs where they are not in a league but their records and avatars can be seen and they can be bought and brought online, replacing a CPU team in a selection process menu that lets the player pick from a variety or leagues and teams the way you buy a team now but that ONLY shows totally CPU teams with zero players on them. The team replaced then gets put in mothballs.
